The secret is out, what you’ve been waiting for…a new collectible is out on the town this week!
Just released, and an official Limited Edition, celebrate Newcastle Community Hall’s 100th Anniversary with our new beer in cooperation with The Old Newcastle House and Lightcaster Brewery! The collaboration arises as this new limited edition will only be available in one batch of 1000 cans, and only available at The Old Newcastle House, while quantities last. Come one, come all, and get yours to save or savour before they’re all gone!
Newcastle Town Hall 100th Anniversary Commemorative beer can be best described as a take on a classic German creation that embodies the essence of tradition – Crisp, clean, and refreshing, this golden-hued brew is the epitome of balance and simplicity. This beer greets you with a gentle aroma of fresh grains and a hint of floral hops.
Each and every can will be signed from can 1 to can 1000 by our own Kevin Adams, owner of The Old Newcastle House and Newcastle resident Jake Vanhaverbeke. The first and last cans of production are to be donated to the Newcastle Historical Society for safe keeping as part of the recognition of the anniversary.
This initiative comes about as a way to not only commemorate the 100th anniversary of our beloved Newcastle Community Hall, but all profits beyond the cost of production will go directly to a donation for the Clarington East Food Bank, so we’ll be able to help those in our community as well!
Our thanks go out to Lightcaster Brewery’s Jim Gorry and Nelson Lang, and to all those in the community who helped bring this concept to fruition (also for keeping it a secret for so long, as it took six months to get to the release!) Special thanks to Kathleen Atkinson for the beautifully designed label, and the 100th anniversary committee and Newcastle Village and District Historical Society for their support! Will it be one to have on your shelf or to enjoy now?
